RE: A Must Watch

Are you high??? Put down the bong and slowly back away from the computer. First of all, never believe what you read. There is always a flipside to the story. Secondly, Republicans have had 20 years to fix the problem since Carter was President. That is 2 terms for Reagan, one term for Bush Sr. and another 2 for George W. Bush. Thirdly, while Clinton was president, we were no where near in debt like we are now. Say what you want. There are 2 parties because there are 2 types of people in the US. There are rich and poor. I'm not rich. The Democrats seem to have my best interests at heart. There is a flipside to this also. I work for a defense subcontractor and the Republicans always spend more on defense. Don't feed into the spin factor. Just vote for what does you the most good. Remember, what's good for you isn't necessarily good for me.

RE: Seat (Butt) Pads

I have an Airhawk and it rocks!!!! The beaity of it is that it doesn't get hot like gel. Personally, I think it's worth every penny but it takes a little getting use to. Of course, you're going to sit a little higher in the seat.

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

Makes sense Gringo. I don't remember that Happy Days episode but I know that Fonzie was better than Evel Kenevel. After all, Evel never jumped a Chicken Stand at Al's. :B

RE: Would you buy a Harley from a foreign-owned MoCo?

I just hate to see jobs go away. Besides that, the quality of the product is never the same when products are made abroad. I'm not saying that there are not good products made in Britian or Japan. There are but......if a company decides to ship something somewhere else, they're cutting corners in some way, shape or form. 92 Lowrider, I hope and pray that the greedy bastards give you what you deserve. Good luck and hang in there, brother. Getting back on track..I was curious if MV Agusta had bought HD, would the HD faithful still buy the bikes My faithfulness ends when their's does and they're already half way there. It's that simple.

Worse case scenario.......shop online. You'll have them in less than a week.

RE: Would you buy a Harley from a foreign-owned MoCo?

I see what outsourcing does to American business. It brings down the cost of the product but there is a price to pay for that. The product's quality is effected in an adverse way. It sucks. All my guitars are American made and so is my bike. There is no way in hell that I'd buy a Harley if it were made overseas. I'm a Union guy. The money that I make is because I'm a Union member. I have to stay loyal. The thought of loosing our work, livelihood, and quality goods that we make to foreign companies just sickens me. I guess that you can probably see how I feel by now. :M

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

I'm headed out in a few minutes to do a Poker Run. I'm kinda psyched because I just realized that I haven't been on a run in about a year and a half. Maybe some of you have ralized that I haven't been around much. I've been batteling a massive bout with depression. This has lasted over an extended period of time. It's basically turned me into a hermit, stripped me of everything that I've learned to love, and is very had to get good treatment for. That totally blows because I uesd to be a very outgoing guy. Things have been better for me in the past few weeks. I'm hoping for a continued trend. I hope that you and your families are all well. Sometimes life hands you a turd sandwich but what doesn't kill you will truely make you stronger. Ride safe and ride often.

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

Right on Red. By the way I think you have the only Real Red bike in existance. They stopped making that color before they stopped making the bike. Sunglo Lava Red was only made for 1 year also......if I'm not mistaken. However, I've been wrong before.

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

Speaking of brake lines..........There's a nice little trick for spongy front brakes. If your front brakes are spongy after you replace a line, take a piece of shoestring and hold the brake down as far as it can go. Tie it to the handgrip overnight. If everything goes well, it'll be fixed in the morning. It's simple but it works.

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

Pay, I'm glad that you had a good safe trip. I wish that I had my bike with me. Ontario Canada is totally beautiful. Today, I'm exploring some scenic caves and possibly going to the beach. Yesterday, I took a ride to the top of Blue Mountain. The view overlooking the Georgian Bay is breathtaking. Last week, I was in Niagra Falls. If anyone ever gets the chance to go there, do it!!! Take the Maid of the Mist tour. It's amazing to look up and see the fury of the falls in close view. Happy 4th to everyone. I hope you all stay happy, healthy, and wealthy. Remember, wealth is not measured in monatary value. Have a good one, folks.
